Experience
I attended Bard College for two years before transferring to New York University (NYU). At Bard, I worked as an introductory German tutor. As a junior at NYU, I served as the Deutsches Haus language program intern. In that role, I worked with children in the classroom, was responsible for administering Goethe Exams and assisted with administrative duties. During my senior year, I acquired translation experience while working with a German publishing company, and participated in noted German-Japanese author Yoko Tawada's graduate seminar. I have completed a degree in German Language & Literature and am wrapping up a second major in Art History. I plan to continue to study German Translation Studies. I am awaiting response to my application for a Fulbright Scholarship. If the application is successful, I will be teaching in Germany during the 2016-17 academic year. I offer tutoring services in German (German 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as AP German Language and Culture), Art History, and Social Studies. When I'm not studying or working with my own students, I enjoy reading, visiting museums and galleries, cooking, and playing with my pets.
